COMMON USES
These compounds are commonly used for chronic nasal polyps, congestion, allergies or in conjunction with antibiotics for infections.
HOW TO USE THE MEDICATION
These products are intended for intranasal use only. Shake gently, vigorous shaking may cause the product to foam. Before the fi rst use, prime the device by spraying (away from anyone) until a fi ne mist comes out of the tip.
Wash your hands and blow your nose before administering.
Insert the tip of the device into the directed nostril(s). Point the tip of the device toward the same ear to avoid spraying on the nasal septum (middle of the nose). Breathe normally in through the nose while spraying, snorting causes the medication to run down the throat. If the medication drips from your nose, tilt your head back. If you can taste the medication, tilt your head forward.
Clean the tip of the device with a clean tissue after each use.
Avoid blowing your nose for 15-30 minutes after use to allow the medication to absorb. These medications are typically used 1-2 sprays two times a day. Use as directed by your prescriber.
POSSIBLE ADVERSE AND SIDE EFFECTS
Headache, sore throat, odd taste in mouth.
Burning or stinging of the area.
Dry nose and/or nose bleeds; if you experience nosebleeds you may pause the treatment and use a nasal lubricant to help heal the nose. Examples of nasal lubricants include moisturizing saline sprays, nasal gels and plain vaseline.
STORAGE REQUIREMENTS
Store at room temperature.
Beyond use date (BUD) is 30 days at room temperature. Refer to the date indicated on your prescription.
