COMMON USES
This compound is used for fungal skin infections, allergic reactions and skin irritation. It contains an antifungal medication and a topical corticosteroid
HOW TO USE THE MEDICATION
The medication is intended for topical application on intact skin only. Do not ingest and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, ears, nose and anal-genital areas unless directed to by your prescriber.
Not all products are suitable for application on the neck and face, consult the pharmacy if this is the treatment area.
Wash your hands and affected area(s) with a mild fragrance free soap and pat dry.
These compounds are usually applied twice a day. Apply the medication 2-3 cm around the rash. The duration of therapy is specifi c to the type of rash, but usually ranges from 1-4 weeks. Continue to use the medication for 2 days after the rash has cleared to ensure complete resolution. If the symptoms do not improve or worsen in the fi rst 14 days of use, seek reassessment with your prescriber.
Keep the affected area as dry as possible to help prevent further growth of the fungal infection. Change garments regularly and if they are damp or soiled. Wash all garments and linens in hot water and hot dryer to help prevent reinfection.
POSSIBLE ADVERSE AND SIDE EFFECTS
This medication is usually well tolerated; some skin irritation may occur.
Long term use of steroids can cause thinning of the skin. Only use as long as
directed or until 2 days after the rash clears to reduce this risk.
STORAGE REQUIREMENTS
Store at room temperature. Refer to the date indicated on your prescription for the BUD (Beyond Use Date).
